Yesterday was SUCH a busy day.
We wake up everyday at 6:45 to get ready and then get to breakfast by 7:15 or so. We then eat before going to class which starts at 8.
We had Old Testament from 8-8:50 (Fifty minutes classes are really nice, for the record) and then we had Ancient Near East (with my favorite Brother Ludlow) from 9-9:50.
At about 10:10 we headed over to Hebrew University to get some school supplies from their bookstore. Nicole and I came home with two new Hebrew planners. Which means that everything is backwards. haha it's fun. We got back a little before noon so we made our Hebrew flashcards before going to lunch at noon.
After lunch we had Hebrew from 1-2:50 and then at about 3 we left to go into the Old City. We walked around and just explored. We had a really good group of 5 consisting of Jeff, Shalyn, AnnaLeah, Nicole and I. We got some gelato (delicious) we saw a military promotion thing at the Western Wall, we saw some old ruins and then as we were leaving through Damascus Gate, we saw this circus performance and it was SO cool.
This man and women were performing and then had this huge wheel that they would do their tricks on. It was seriously amazing. I wish I could adequately describe the amazing-ness of it but I can't. haha it was such a random occurance that we even saw it though.
We then walked back and got home just in time for a wonderful dinner. The food was delicious and our table was so fun. We told random facts about ourselves (like I can wiggle my ears) and then we told embarrassing stories and we were seriously all dying of laughter. Such good times.
After dinner, we had to go to a forum which was... interesting but WAY long.
And finally, a little after 9, we got to start our piles of reading we had to do.
Although we got a little distracted planning for our birthday surprise today (which didn't even turn out).
So we went to bed late and now I am definitely regretting that. Plus I'm behind in my reading. haha swell.
I feel like I will try to write more posts like this so that they aren't crazy long all the time.
Shalom!
You saw a circus performance? My life is so dull.
