Wow, these past few days have been insane.
On Sunday, we flew from Tel Aviv to Istanbul. Our flight was super late and such but it was one of the best flights ever. It was short (like two hours) and they fed us the best airplane food I've ever eaten. Seriously, delicious. Plus, the upholstery in the plane was a really pretty teal color which was way more relaxing and inviting compared to the normal navy blue.
Good flight. :)
Customs was then also a breeze (which is normal when you fly in to most countries... most people were just comparing it to Israel though).
Baggage claim was also easy peasy. (Oh yeah, we had to check our suitcases because apparently you can't carry them on if they weigh more than 8 kg... and ours were 12...)
And that's when the madness started.
People were getting lost left and right. Apparently our class left some people at the airport so the other class took them.
Then we went to the hotel, Cartoon Hotel, which you'd think would be super sophisticated but in reality, it was Disney-themed.
It was also designed like a maze so it took some people a SUPER long time to find their rooms. Because of that, our group of 90 thought we were all present and accounted for so off they went to dinner. Except 15 or so who got forgotten, myself included. Apparently they didn't realize that they had forgotten us until a little after they got there. So a rescue team (Brother Harper and Brother Ludlow) were sent back to retrieve us. And then we got there all safe. And dinner was pretty good. After that, we went back to the hotel and went to bed because it was like 10:30 and we were exhausted.
